Last Friday, we were given the opportunity to attend a talk with world-famous chef Ferrán Adrià. After giving us a description of his latest projects, a centre for innovation efficiency and a new research methodology for this, he went on to detail what is necessary to be truly innovative. Through examples and audience participation he showed us that understanding what has already been done or created in your field is the key to finding new directions to take.
Finally, he spoke about his brother´s new restaurant on Regent Street, London. Albert Adrià has been voted the World´s Best Pastry Chef and this new venture is his first outside of Spain. Definitely something to try next time you´re in London!
At the end of the event, the icing on the cake was to have a photo taken with Ferrán, who was very friendly and we thanked him for his time and words of wisdom.
